The most flexible furniture system for PBSA and Co-living apartments

Nestblok bridges the gap between custom joinery and off-the-shelf furniture.
It’s a tailored modular system that adapts to any layout, offering residents more freedom and operators more reliability.
Components — from pull-out storage to movable desks — can be reconfigured, replaced, or reused across projects, reducing waste and unlocking long-term value.

Modular & Adaptable

The system adapts over time, evolving with the needs of residents and operators alike. It's fully customisable.

Sustainable & Durable

Made from FSC-certified wood, the modular design ensures longer-lasting pieces, with single components
replaceable instead of the full unit.

Resident-Centric

Promotes wellbeing, creativity, and focus through biophilic design and personalisation.

Smart storage

Clever solutions, like under-bed drawers and hidden storage, maximise functionality without compromising on style.

Developed in response to residents' insights and shaped by A Designer at Heart’s experience designing over 20,000+ beds across Europe, NESTBLOK is designed with one thing in mind: the resident.

With thoughtful layouts, natural materials, and clever personalisation options, NESTBLOK addresses the unique challenges of resident living while pushing the boundaries of what a resident room can be. Every element of NESTBLOK has been carefully considered to make life easier and more enjoyable while supporting operators with a smart, sustainable solution.

A Partnership Built on Shared Vision

Nestblok is a design-led system by interior design company A Designer at Heart, developed in partnership with furniture supplier LOFT.

This award-winning system brings together design research, resident insight and specialist furniture supply expertise to create a modular solution for modern PBSA and co-living environments.

At its core, Nestblok reflects a shared belief: that student furniture can be more adaptable, more considered, and better aligned with the way residents actually live.

Feedback from Residents

“I really like the idea of having a second stool and moveable desk so someone can sit either side of it, one thing that I find rubbish in student accommodation is that you can’t study with somebody else unless you go somewhere like a kitchen”

“I like the full-length rails because a wardrobe takes up too much space.”

“I like the cork-board because previously I just stuck things on the wall and the paint peeled off.”
